FireBlock™ - Fire Resistant Butyl Tape

FireBlock™ Butyl is a new type of fire-resistant material that expands in the event of fire or when heated to perform a fire-resistant function. FireBlock™ is a thin and flexible organic fire-resistant material. It is different from conventional inorganic fire-resistant materials, since in the event of fire or when heated, it expands allowing it to perform its fire-resistant and fire prevention functions rapidly and effectively.

FireBlock™ has many applications. It can protect buildings and vehicles, retards the spread of fires, protects equipment and facilities and saves space. Superior heat insulation, Fire resistant, Flexible, Pressure Sensitive, Thermal expansion and Safety.

• Around bulkheads and cable, pipe penetration, pipe line and between the flanges of Fire Rated Ductwork for sealing on passenger ships, oil tankers, submarine and other vessels.
• Electric and Electronic equipment.
• Internal and external cladding and roofing sheet joints, partitions and other infill panels, joints between and under frames, cover strips, mullions, ceiling grid to wall and service duct penetrations in buildings and houses.
